I had been doing my own webpage for a few years and was really ready to "upgrade" to something a little more professional-looking, but I didn't know how to do it by myself. Gwen easily incorporated what I wanted with her own ideas into something that was easily navigated and beautiful to look at.

I have a photography site, and I wanted different icons to represent the different kinds of photography available. I had been searching endlessly and could find nothing that suited my needs. I explained to Gwen vaguely what I was looking for, and she was able to create icons for me that I absolutely loved and fit right in with the design on my site.

Although I live in Los Angeles, I didn't even notice the 400-mile gap between us because she made it convenient to communicate with her via email and was easy to reach by phone. Because I do know a little HTML, I have been able to work on my site now that she has designed it, and she has been happy to give me tips and advice from time to time.

I had a massive problem. I was organising a client of mine to get rebranded entirely before Cebit (an important IT trade show in Germany). Everything. Name, logo, icon, livery, the works. I had found a designer, he was briefed and working on it. The day before I was expecting final art work, he told me he had done nothing and was going on holiday in the morning.

This is 5 days before we need to be at the show.
